ARDF club SK RADIOSPORT Bílovice nad Svitavou invites cordially all extreme ARDF enthusiasts to the mountain radioorienteering competition Steep hills of Bílovice 2002 Bílovice nad Svitavou (CZE), November 2nd, 2002 All extreme ARDF enthusiasts are cordially invited to the mountain radioorienteering competition, for the second time organized in the scenic landscape of so-called Moravian Swiss. After a great success of the last year, the organizers promise to do their best to provide really nice and extreme experience for all participants. Date: Saturday, November 2nd, 2002 Venue: Czech Republic, Bilovice nad Svitavou (approx. 8 km east from Brno) Competition centre: SOKOLOVNA in Bílovice nad Svitavou Event schedule: Fri 01.11.2002 till 22:00 arrival, registration Sat 02.11.2002 till 7:30 arrival, registration 8:00 departure to the start 9:00 start 0:00 17:00 awarding ceremony Technical information: Categories: M16,D16,M20,D20,M40,D35 singles DX (2-member teams, at least one member of a team must be a woman regardless of age) Number of transmitters : 6 ...10 + beacon (according to the category) Course lengths: 15 ... 25 km Total climb: 800 ... 1400 m along the shortest sensible route Start: 5-min intervals Maps: 1:30000, A3 size, updated topographic map Competition band: 3,5 MHz, QRG: MOE-MO5 3580 kHz, MO 3550 kHz Transmitters: 3W output, 15m wire antenna, 3-radials counterpoise. There will be 10 transmitters working 30 seconds each (full cycle 5 minutes). Codes: MOE...MO5 slow keying, then MOE...MO5 faster keying. Registering devices: classic punching. Refreshment: at the finish and at the refreshment point on the route. In addition, there will be something to drink at each transmitter. Detailed information, registrations, starting lists etc. will be available later at www.ardf.cz. Accomodation: in own sleeping bags in the gym hall in the Sokolovna. Showers, warm water etc. will be available. Board: there is a restaurant in the same building. Fees (to be paid in cash on arrival): Accomodation per 1 day 60.- CZK Starting fee: (maps, refreshment etc.) 100.- CZK Transportation (see the map): Brno is about 220 km SE from Prague along the D1 highway. Leave highway at the exit 196 (Brno-jih), then continue in direction Svitavy, after some 5 km (still in Brno) follow signs Adamov, Bílovice.
